dr. Resiana Karnina, Sp.An is LIPS Clinic’s resident anaesthesiologist and is known to her friends and colleagues as dr. Echi. Born and educated in Sumatera, dr. Echi started her medical training at Krida Wacana Christian university(UKRIDA) Faculty of Medicine, Jakarta, graduating in 2006. She then went on to study Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy at Sriwijaya University (UNSRI), Palembang, completing her specialisation in 2013. dr. Echi is a member of both PERDATIN (Perhimpunan Dokter Spesialis Anastesi dan Terapi Indonesia, Indonesian Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Doctors) and IDI (Ikatan Dokter Indonesia, Indonesian Doctors Society).
High profile cases dr. Echi has been involved with include the Post Operative and ICU team of the Rahma-Rahmi twin separation procedure at Moh. Hoesin General Hospital Palembang, South Sumatera. She was also on the Medical Team on standby for the Presidential visit to Palembang in 2012, where fortunately her skills were not required! Dedicated to life-long learning, dr. Echi has continued to develop her skills and expertise by attending nearly twenty Symposiums and workshops in the last four years.

In addition to her work with LIPS Clinic, dr. Echi lectures at Medical faculty Muhammadyah Jakarta University and serves as an Anaesthesiologist and intensive care doctor at both Zahirah Hospital, Jakarta Selatan and Tebet Hospital. dr. Echi’s skill lies in ensuring patients are comfortable and relaxed throughout their procedure and recover quickly afterwards with any pain effectively managed.
